Report on possible treatment
I think something can be done with this report for this wiki page. My dad has it, and one of our family friends, a nephrologist, is one of the authors of this report on the study they did, and my dad was actually part of the trials. galactose and FSGS Rochelle CMN (talk) 01:57, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm only aware of two case studies reporting successful treatment of FSGS with galactose (De Smet et al., 2009 and Kopač et al., 2011). I believe that there are trials in progress, but galactose treatment is not standard practice. --38.112.100.65 (talk) 21:30, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Evidence for SuPAR as a cause of FSGS
Some researchers found SuPAR as a cause of FSGS - evidence for this is building see this recent Open Access study in BMC Medicine:
Urinary soluble urokinase receptor levels are elevated and pathogenic in patients with primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis Jing Huang, Gang Liu, Yi-miao Zhang, Zhao Cui, Fang Wang, Xiao-jing Liu, Rong Chu and Ming-hui Zhao doi:10.1186/1741-7015-12-81 http://www.biomedcentral.com/1741-7015/12/81/abstract — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.189.56.2 (talk) 14:15, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
