[edit]In 2016 Greg Merkel, the great-great-grand nephew of Joseph Merkel, started the company 'Flying Merkel Inc'. Merkel, who is an architect and designer, is proud to have brought the trademark for this richly historic brand back into the family. The intent of Flying Merkel Inc. is to update and modernize the Flying Merkel brand while respecting its amazing history and irreplaceable place in the motorcycle pantheon.
