I've inserted the apposite quote from Andrew Marvell. The following former text was invented from a second-hand unknowing reference to Marvell's poem:
- "Apparently McHattie may have got the idea from a publication of 1678 called The Skilful Gardener where the author describes such a clock at an exhibition in Paris."
These inventions are too easily done; the history of cooking is full of this kind of thing. Finding them and eliminating them improves Wikipedia.--Wetman (talk) 03:50, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
In addition to the request by another user to include a photo with a floral clock of the 2nd type, I have a question: where on the Earth does it exist today? Cmapm (talk) 16:59, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
What is a "clock with two faces"? Colin McLarty (talk) 22:27, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
