I will take this review. HaEr48 (talk) 17:19, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Use caption that the image in the infobox corresponds to the blue version.
Note: Still not done. HaEr48 (talk) 05:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the lead, say when the colour was changed.
  • In the lead, mention that S. R. is roughly today's Zimbabwe? I don't think a general reader could easily tell where S.R. is today
  • " and technically 1979–80". How so? the body said that at this period the only official flag was the Union Jack.
Note: Still not explained. HaEr48 (talk) 05:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Who was Cecil Rhodes and why did his personal coat of arm become part of S.R.'s flag/coat of arms?
  • "The flag of Southern Rhodesia was adopted in 1923..." this sentence is way too long to be easily parsed. Please simplify or break it up.
  • Who adopted the flag in 1923. Seems unclear from the article, especially since later the flag was later disputed by the colonial office.
  • The "History" section discussed the flag of Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland and how S. R. was represented in it. Maybe add the flag next to this paragraph in order to illustrate?
  • "In 1972, the International Olympic Committee (IOC).." sentence is too long, please simplify or break it up.
  • "as African nations threatened a boycott". I only realized that the boycott was over Rhodesia participating after reading the source. Please clarify this in the article.
  • Sourcing: Don't Crwflags.com and academia.edu fall under WP:SELFPUBLISH, which is generally not acceptable as source. Please find alternative sources.
Update: I agree with your explanation (below) about academia.edu. About Crwflags, though, you replaced it with loeser.us, which is another self-published website? HaEr48 (talk)
  • Some citations are missing publication dates
Note: Some are still missing. HaEr48 (talk) 05:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • The POVs covered are mainly from S.R.'s white government and the British authorities. Is it possible to also discuss the indigenous population's POV?
Update: I see you added some, but could you elaborate more? The link between white supremacy and the new flag isn't very clear to me. HaEr48 (talk) 05:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your updates, they certainly look good. I've struck the suggestions that I consider addressed, but there are still some remaining. Could you take another a look? HaEr48 (talk) 05:35, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm continuing with the work but I've just noticed that the same rationale for academia could apply to the old crw sources. The publisher Bruce Berry has also had works published elsewhere for the International Congress of Vexillology. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 08:19, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@HaEr48: Scratch that last comment, I managed to find other sources for the claims. As for the rest, I have made some alterations, additions and removals. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:03, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@The C of E: sorry for the delay and missing your first ping. Thanks for the update. One more request - sorry I forgot to notice it earlier - Could you please add page numbers to the Kenrick citation? The work runs 17 pages, and including page number will help readers find the reference. For example you can use {{rp}} or {{sfn}} template, your choice. Once that's done I believe we're good to go. HaEr48 (talk) 04:36, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@HaEr48: I have added the page numbers using the book template style. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:06, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@The C of E:. Thanks. The current range (pp. 5-13) is still too long for someone to cross-check easily. I suggest to add very narrow page number or page ranges (e.g. just 1 or 2 pages) for each inline citation. If you want to use {{rp}}, you can do it like this: Some statement[1]: 3  HaEr48 (talk) 14:21, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@HaEr48: Done. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 22:06, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your efforts for this article and responding to my review. I'm happy to pass it as GA now. HaEr48 (talk) 05:16, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
