Does the lead really need to be this long?
[edit]It could easily be cut to just the first two paragraphs. Speatle (talk) 12:35, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- From MOS:INTRO: "The lead section should briefly summarize the most important points covered in an article in such a way that it can stand on its own as a concise version of the article." I usually write four-graf intros because, well, I usually write articles that in-depth.
I suppose it could be possible to condense this to three grafs or two longer ones. Daniel Case (talk) 02:28, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
- I consolidated the middle two grafs. At present we need to keep the stuff about Flynn because it's part of the DYK hook (and part of the story of the song that ought to be summarized in the intro, because that's how it gets its title). And almost a month after I nominated, no one has reviewed the nomination yet. Daniel Case (talk) 05:28, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Five per Cent for Nothing → Five Per Cent for Nothing – Per in this usage is part of a compound noun and not treated as a preposition as such. DigitalIceAge (talk) 00:27, 5 April 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Natg 19 (talk) 01:18, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 16:04, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- The article itself and quite a few sources use "per Cent". I don't think this is uncontroversial enough to be done without an RM consensus. ~StyyxTalk? 19:03, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- FWIW I'm the one who moved it to "Five per Cent for Nothing" (from "Five Per Cent For Nothing") and changed the article text to match. After a discussion with the article writer on the DYK nom page and on my talk page I agreed that per should probably be capitalized. I suppose I should ping him (@Daniel Case:). - When I created it I titled it "Five Per Cent For Nothing", as that's how it's spelled on the initial releases of the album IIRC (certainly on the cassette sleeves). It seems that the current title styling comes from how Virgil Howe styled it on his Yes Remixes album, a semi-official project, five years ago, and some recent band uses, as DIA notes at the DYK discussion, have done it that way as well. But the Soundcloud page, also an official band page, spells it the 1971 way.
I agree this might be better off resolved through a formal RM, but I would ask that we wait for that until after it has appeared on DYK. Daniel Case (talk) 01:37, 6 April 2022 (UTC)

- Support. "Per" does not seem to be used as a preposition in this context, so according to our formatting rules it should be capitalized. Rreagan007 (talk) 22:16, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
