Builder revert
[edit]The unexplained addition without cite of a builder is unwarranted. A check of that builder at ShipBuildingHistory (usually good) shows no indication of such a vessel. There is almost nothing in the record about this vessel beyond the fact it was taken in by the Navy, though apparently never formally with surviving paperwork. The only mention in any reference to origin is "converted yacht" and one can speculate that it was converted by a local or perhaps U.S. entity to some sort of fishery research vessel (I've looked) but there appears to be no record of that.
