[edit]

Kokolakis

[edit]

Kokolakis provides a detailed history on the foundation of Filipiada (whis is not part of Chameria): As for the Ottoman settlement of 1881, it will gradually merge with the villages that surrounded it (Eleftherochori and Palia Filippiada), forming the present single town.. The text should be changed accordingly.Alexikoua (talk) 04:11, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I found this part in the text but I think that this merging effectively took place before 1913. Kokolakis doesn't mention a specific date.--Maleschreiber (talk) 00:30, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're adding text that's not supported by the source: "Modern Filippiada was founded in 1880-81". Please be careful and in case you have difficulty translating from Greek it would be better to open a tp topic first.Alexikoua (talk) 03:40, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yet another wp:OR falsely interpreting Baltsiotis who reads: "Οι μουσουλμάνοι αυτοί μετακινήθηκαν το 1881 στη Νέα Φιλιππιάδα. Αναγνωστόπουλος, γράφοντας μάλιστα και αυτός ότι προέρχονται από τους μετακινηθέντες από την Άρτα το 1881.146 Ο F. Rrapaj για το 1926 αναφέρει 200 μουσουλμανικά αλβανικά «σπίτια» και δύο χριστιανικά,147 επιβεβαιώνοντας την πληροφορία ότι ο πληθυσμός προέρχεται από την Άρτα."...Baltsiotis simply presents two contradicting accounts though in page 29 he simply states that the population came initially from Arta. Anything else is clear speculation which the author doesn't accept.Alexikoua (talk) 05:53, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Baltsiotis presents two views one from a Greek author and the other from an Albanian author. The first one considers all Muslims to have been Greek-speakers, while the second considered them all to be Albanians. Neither view is accurate and both argue for a monolingual narrative. This is evident throughout the work. Baltsiotis discusses the existence of an Albanian school in Filippiada (p.85), the existence of an Albanian club and in 1928, the remaining Muslims were Albanian-speaking, Greek-speaking and Romani-speaking (p.117). This is what the article discusses and it's not WP:OR.--Maleschreiber (talk) 16:04, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Baltsiotis also states that any Albanian national initiative after 1913 was completely insignificant. the existence of an Albanian club and in 1928 can you provide a quote from that? No Albanian clubs existed after 1913.Alexikoua (talk) 20:03, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
