- Good pictures are very hard to find. I suspect that there are few non-copyright ones, plus the boats were all cut up for transport and may not provide very clear images- if you search, you will see what I mean !

No dendrochronology dates?
[edit]Does anyone know why radiocarbon was used to date these boats and not the more precise dendrochronology? After all they are made of wood so there should be tree rings, right? --Proofreader (talk) 10:11, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
- As of 1985, some tree-ring work was done, but full modern dendrochronology was not possible and the author suspects it may remain impossible. Thanks for drawing my attention- I found info which I will endeavour to put into the Page !
