Financial Misconduct

[edit]

Celestina007, I'm not trying to have an edit war but just trying to be objective. I don't speak legalese but the definition of indict is a formal charge or accusation of a serious crime while an allegation is a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof. This source uses 'alleged'. Allegation, Alleged/Accused, Allegations/Accused, allegation, Allegation, AccusedAllegations, Allegations. Not seeing any concrete proof because the only people presenting proofs are Fem Co themselves. Princess of Ara 20:58, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Princess of Ara, I too do not want an edit war neither do I necessarily want to escalate this, using the word allegation literally means an assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof so if you use the word “Allegation” it would be lexically incorrect or a misnomer as there a plethora of sources that “indict” them in a financial misconduct. Furthermore Wikipedia isn’t about what is “true” but what can be verified. I think I have show sufficient good faith “by balancing” the positives and negatives and also removed certain portions and statements. Like I said I’m sympathetic towards their movement but this doesn’t mean I would censor information. Celestina007 (talk) 21:09, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To be indicted means to be criminally accused: formal legal charges. Has any law agency or court filed charges against Feminist Coalition? I didn't see any such mention int he sources. Schazjmd (talk) 21:11, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Schazjmd, No legal charges have been levelled against Fem Co AFAIK and yes, the sources do not mention such. An accusation from a twitter user that spiralled. Princess of Ara 21:19, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Schazjmd, Correct, but the latter and broader part of the definition is a formal charge or accusation of a serious crime you are apt with the legal part but accusation of a serious crime also constitutes an indictment. But @Princess of Ara, it seems Schazjmd is leaning towards your ideology so please by all means feel free to change it to “allegation” or perhaps let me do it myself since it was I who changed it in the first place. Arguing over content never helped no one. I’m happy this was resolved like mature individuals we all are. Peace Profound. Celestina007 (talk) 21:30, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Princess of Ara, if you didn’t request for me not to post on your tp I would have posted this there, in any case, i respect how you handled this, i was going to template warn you for censoring information but apparently that wasn’t your intention. Once again I’m highly impressed by your conduct and how you thought it wise to use the TP rather than edit war. Our relationship has been rocky but I respect a mature editor regardless.
