RFC - Promotional Commentary in Header

Is the third paragraph of the header the kind of material is sufficiently noteworthy to be included in the biography of a living person? It looks very promotional to me. The link that refers to Dr. Gerges as a world leading scholar is from a bio for a conference where he spoke. The media appearances might be noteworthy but seem a little out of place to me. 2604:2000:E0E9:C300:70EA:7698:67D8:DA38 (talk) 01:34, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
- For clarification, the content you are referring to is the third paragraph in the lead. I would agree that some of the content is a bit promotional. Though it is notable, it should probably be moved to the body of the article, especially the content noting "He has appeared on television and radio networks throughout the world, including CNN, ABC, CBS, NPR, the BBC and Al Jazeera. During the weeks leading up to the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, he was a regular guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show, PBS’s The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and The Charlie Rose Show.". - Thanks for the feedback. I'll implement your suggestion.2604:2000:E0E9:C300:2932:41E:4F03:F15C (talk) 02:36, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
- Agree with Meatsgains and the article seems acceptable. Any objections to closing this early? AIRcorn (talk) 20:41, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
- I support closing this RfC early. Meatsgains (talk) 23:49, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
