No Confirmation the Show Has Ended
[edit]Despite the "miniseries" label from Disney, as per this earlier edit that means nothing – for example, The Alienist was also declared "limited series", but several months after that series was broadcast TNT network picked it up for more episodes. Based on that, and plenty of other examples like that (e.g. Under the Dome, etc.), and the way that Fast Layne actually ended in its "final" episode, until Disney confirms there will be no more episodes, we cannot and should not attach an "end date" to this series (at least not until one year has passed since the last episode aired...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 20:52, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- This is not a completely valid reason. "The Alienist" wasn't picked up for more episodes, it was given a sequel series, two different things. And lots of shows end without a complete satisfaction ending, just because a story didn't completely wrap up, doesn't mean it's going to continue. Lastly, just because a few other miniseries got picked up beyond their original order, doesn't mean that every other miniseries from here on out should be subject to the same treatment as the former. Disney called it a miniseries, and we should treat it like a miniseries, and leave it as ended until it is confirmed more episodes have been ordered. • 16:34, 6 July 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.73.11.91 (talk)
- No – we don't do anything until Disney confirms either it has ended or it is coming back. Anything else is just an assumption without verification. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:08, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
- It's was announced as a miniseries: a series with a limited amount of episodes, with a short run. Disney Channel has treated it as such and shouldn't be left as "present", unless it is confirmed that it is coming back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.73.11.91 (talk) 22:44, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Per our guidelines and template documentation, we leave anything, regardless of whether it's a mini-series or not, as present until we have an announcement otherwise or one year has passed since the last episode. Keep this bullshit up and I will personally report you and have you blocked. Amaury • 22:52, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- Fine. If you want to keep it incorrect then leave it that way, come 2020, it will be listed as ended. By the way, it's under "former programming" on the Disney Channel show page, the Disney Wiki, and nearly every other webpage that mentions it, so I guess you wanna fix that as well :). But if you wanna continue to make Wikipedia being called an "unreliable source", you go ahead and keep following the great "guidelines". Have a nice day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.73.11.91 (talk) 23:15, 7 July 2019 (UTC)
- One: Learn how to sign your posts. Two: WP:OSE exists because things are often done wrong at other pages, like the Disney Channel programs page, so that means absolutely nothing (non-Wikipedia wikias are even more useless for correct info!). Three: We've given you multiple examples of where a "miniseries" did not end up being a "miniseries" in the traditional sense, and Amaury and I also remember other examples like Bunk'd where ignorant IP editors kept declaring the show "over" after season #3 until... guess what? Disney Channel renewed it months later, after the original Ross kid actors had already left the show, and so every one of those IP edits was laughably wrong. So the odds that Disney could indeed renew Fast Lane for more episodes is absolutely a non-zero chance... So, no – the reason 'end dates' need to be sourced and verifiable exists for a very important reason, and you're insisting that we ignore that changes nothing. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 23:21, 7 July 2019 (UTC)

IT IS DEAD. The star herself (lead girl) told me on her Instagram. 72.128.216.39 (talk) 13:32, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- Probably, yes. But actors don't "speak" to show production circumstances, and Disney has made no official announcement on the fate of this one. Thus, in the absence of official word, we wait until one year after the last episode has aired before declaring the show over. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:26, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
