Damn wikibooks, they look legit. Any good advice on how to spot these? I was sure that the Errol Flynn source was OK. Montanabw(talk) 18:38, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Montanabw:What I did on the Blanch files was to note the date the file was created on EsWiki anything before that date should be okay, but I obviously read it anyway. After that date, everything is suspect, IMO. Since they don't document anything on that wiki, I just remove what I cannot document. SusunW (talk) 22:42, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Life's good. I was intending to help but sort of took a shotgun approach that was too scattered. I think Sitush got a bit too impatient with you, but he's actually a reasonable sort most of the time. I misattributed his actions to Blofeld, which was an error on my part. Just don't be discouraged, you are doing good things here! Montanabw(talk) 00:56, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Articles that do not exist

[edit]

I think it unnecessary to place all those red links in the Filmography of the actress, those articles do not exist, and I do not believe that no one wishes to create them, then see so many links in red, or Yes?. Far I have understood is best to avoid red links and more when they are enough, according to Wikipedia:Red link.--Philip J Fry (talk) 17:02, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As I have explained on your talk page, Dr. Blofeld is going to do a blitz to create the Mexican films. It is easier for him to click on the red links so that the article names match what is in Fanny's file than to create new articles from scratch where there might be a name variance. SusunW (talk) 17:05, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Philip J Fry: pinging you in the event that you are not actively watching this. SusunW (talk) 17:07, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is not a reason for my. They are many articles that do not exist and the best would be to begin to create them and then link them to the Filmography of the actress.--Philip J Fry (talk) 17:10, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Philip J Fry: I shall try one more time to explain. We are actively involved in trying to increase Wiki coverage of notable people/things which have articles on other Wiki-language pages but none on English Wiki. Automation can make lists of missing articles IF they are redlinked. It cannot make lists if they are not. We then focus for a week on a topic and translate documents. I am working on Mexican actresses this week, as is obvious from my production. We would like to expand to Mexican film at some point, but cannot get a list of the missing articles if you keep blanking them. SusunW (talk) 17:30, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I still do not understand that he has to do one thing with the other?. If you're an advanced user I think that you should know how to create articles without having to go putting red links everywhere.--Philip J Fry (talk) 17:36, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Philip J Fry: You seem to be of the opinion that red links are a bad thing. Quite the contrary. "Red links help Wiki grow" Wikipedia:Red link and you are advised by Wiki to "Create red links everywhere they are relevant". SusunW (talk) 17:45, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Philip J Fry, why don't you set about creating some articles from the red links rather than waste your time moaning here? CassiantoTalk 22:37, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
