6 man crew

Sorry, but did I miss something? The crew assigned to Expedition 19 is 6-man, not 3-man, and this article detailed that before, so how come we've gone back to a 3-man crew? Colds7ream (talk) 19:31, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is what I found for the crew. Obviously Lonchakov will be replaced by someone else(99% sure it will be a Russian).

Gennady Padalks, Commander - Russia
Michael Barratt, Flight Engineer 1 - United States
Nicole Stott, Flight Engineer 2 - United States
Yuri Lonchakov, Flight Engineer 3 - Russia
Frank De Winne, Flight Engineer 4 - Europe
Robert Thirsk, Flight Engineer 5 - Canada

Here is the backups(I assume someone from this group will be going):

This quote "Because of the shift to six crew members there will be a reduction in the average duration of the expeditions from six to three months." sounds a little misleading. While the actual expedition name will change every 3 months, each crew(each 3 man crew) will spend 6 months on-board. I am not sure how to word it, so maybe someone else can rewrite it.--Navy blue84 (talk) 01:55, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per Reference 2, RSA cosmonaut Maksim Surayev [Maxim Suraev] is a backup for Commander and not Flight Engineer as shown in the Backup Crew list.--Aldebaran66 (talk) 19:04, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing

The section "Mission plan" seems only to relate to the launch and return of Soyuz TMA-14, while ignoring the space shuttle flight which already happened.

This could very easily confuse a reader into thinking that Koichi Wakata is going up with Barratt and Padalka. This is not the case. They're joining him. He's already in space, a member of Expedition 18, though his Wikipedia page is a bit out of date in places.
