First issued

Does anyone know when the first Excessive Heat Warning was issued? Dstar3k (talk) 21:38, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Primary Definition of Excessive Heat Warning

[edit]

@Williamwang363: I see that you have edited the page's primary definition of "Excessive Heat Warning" twice, removing the citation the second time. I think it was correct before, as seen in the following sources of the top-level NWS site:

  1. https://www.weather.gov/safety/heat-ww
  2. https://forecast.weather.gov/glossary.php?letter=e

I added {{cn}} for now; what source are you using? A mentally disabled mathematician (talk) 03:40, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rename

[edit]

While we don’t need to move this article yet. If I’m not mistaken; (and you can go on the NWS service change notices website to be sure); the NWS plans to rename the Excessive Heat Warning to an Extreme Heat Warning in the spring of 2025.
