Merge
Suggesting merge from Types of Assessment, an unreferenced page which is already covered in more detail in the section here. Klbrain (talk) 16:14, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- Agree, a sensible proposal - BobKilcoyne (talk) 05:43, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
- They could be merged, but the topics are not the same. Don't lose the unique content. Some competence will be required, and the new material should be referenced first. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 19:06, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- The types in this article are types of assessment tool, not types of assessment in the context of the article of that name. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 19:09, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
- Agree that it makes sense to merge in. As Peter Southwood has mentioned, it is a slightly different way of classifying than the current "Types" structure, so it'll definitely need some delicacy to merge them in a way that will make sense. — Sasuke Sarutobi (push to talk) 13:05, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
- Given the above, I've changed the subheadings slightly before merging in; feel free to change if you're in the mood, but keep an eye on the redirect from Types of assessment. Klbrain (talk) 16:51, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
Merger complete.
History of Exams/assessment
The current section should be expanded to include examination history in Indian, middle east/islamic world and medieval european examinations which led to awarding of the degrees. The Chinese examinations were for civil service but educational institutions all over euroasia had also implemented examinations before awarding degrees or titles.
