[edit]Having won an ITF title last week, she now meets notability criteria. Shuijiashaojun (talk) 23:38, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Picture
[edit]That's not Eugénie Bouchard on the picture but American Brooke Austin! JGab12 (talk) 20:34, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
- I've already corrected it. See File:Brooke Austin.jpg and File:Eugénie Bouchard.jpg. Arteyu ? Blame it on me ! 23:21, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Hang On
[edit]In the time after that AfD was closed as delete (on Jan 31), Eugenie won a $25,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament, the 2011 McDonald's Burnie International – Women's Singles (on Feb 6) which, under criterion number 5 of WP:NTENNIS means that she passes notability. (This official source from the tournament can prove that, as well as this article from the sports campus and this one from the Montreal Gazette prove) - copied from my talk page (submitted by Ravendrop) Ronhjones (Talk) 01:05, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved as requested Mike Cline (talk) 16:47, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Eugénie Bouchard → Eugenie Bouchard – Her first name doesn't have an accent on the "e". She said that in an interview with Tom Tebbutt (reference : http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?t=335765&page=5). JGab12 (talk) 22:08, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - On the WTA site she is also mentioned without accent http://www.wtatennis.com/player/eugenie-bouchard_2257889_15218, so you can do the move. MakeSense64 (talk) 11:07, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- Move - per her own article's sources at the page bottom... the WTA, ITF and Fed Cup all spell her name Eugenie Bouchard. a no brainer. Fyunck(click) (talk) 04:37, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Her best friend?
[edit]Eugenie Bouchard and Laura Robson were good friend in junior time, but it was reported that they broke up due to the coach. After the match of round 4 yesterday, she stressed that she has no friend on tour. She thought she is Maria Sharapova?--Shiouloo (talk) 01:08, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what the problem or point is. The section specifically says they were great "childhood friends" which is true, it makes no claim of their current relationship status. Nonc01 (talk) 4:08, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
Not the first Canadian in a GS Final
[edit]I've already tried to edit to confirm that yes, Rusedski who was born in Canada was the first Canadian in a GS Final. Been reverted. Eugenie is the first Canadian woman. Can we please stop reverting to factually incorrect statements? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.27.2.204 (talk) 19:43, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- Rusedski played for the United Kingdom from 1995 on. He made the 1997 US Open final as a UK player. Born in Canada? Yes. Playing for Canada? No. Trut-h-urts man (T • C) 19:46, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- They were born in the same city, both from Montreal. Rusedski is just as Canadian as Ms. Bouchard. The article should not contain factually incorrect statements even if Canada wishes to whitewash Rusedski and his acheivements. 24.27.2.204 (talk) 19:51, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- I see your point, but you come across like a PR rep for Rusedski. He lives in the UK, and played for them from '95 onward. Regardless, the article now includes his appearance in '97 and it is referenced. Trut-h-urts man (T • C) 20:00, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
- It's a factual statement, nothing more nor less. The wiki shouldn't contain erroneous information. 24.27.2.204 (talk) 23:34, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
- It isn't factual in the least. He holds equal British citizenship and most vitally, represented Great Britain at the time of his GS final. His Montreal birth is only a footnote at that point, which was his choice, and that's exactly how it's treated in the article. In all honesty such a complete non-issue shouldn't even need a footnote. It's like claiming all of Tim Cahill's international football goals have been for Samoa, not Australia. You've taken this absurdity far enough. Nonc01 (talk) 6:33, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
Mary Pierce
[edit]An anon editor has pointed out that Mary Pierce is another player in a similar inclusion situation to Rusedski. I have altered the wording of the note explaining this in the article. Trut-h-urts man (T • C) 02:54, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
Studying at Yale
[edit]Genie's just tweeted that she's going to be studying at Yale, starting this fall (2016) but giving no further details; does anyone know anything about this? Meltingpot (talk) 00:08, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure that's just a joke (and likely a publicity stunt). Saskoiler (talk) 22:19, 21 August 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I think you're right. There's a video on Youtube where she's shown being given a tour of the university, and she confesses to a feeling of sadness that it isn't the life she has chosen to live because she turned professional as a tennis player. Meltingpot (talk) 12:46, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Not a date
[edit]She may have met up with a guy based on a Super Bowl Twitter bet but it was not a date as such. It was a publicity stunt that the mass media either fell for or were complicit with. She already had a boyfriend. --Jameboy (talk) 10:08, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
