"In 2019 the brand was revived for a series of entry level instruments manufactured in China for sale through the dealer network left without new product after the demise of Lowrey." Who or what is "Lowrey"? And how did his demise affect the company? And why do we only hear about him in the last paragraph? Kiltpin (talk) 19:04, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
Books
[edit]Two major books are written on this Reed Organ building firm.
And the above text is all there is???
1) Estey Reed Organs on Parade by Robert B. Whiting. Emprise Publ. Inc. Vestal N.Y. 1996
2) Manufacturing the Muse "Estey Organs & Consumer Culture in Victorian America". Dennis G. Waring. Wesleyan University Press. Middletown CT. 2001
Article Scope
[edit]This article is about "The Estey Organ Company". It is not about everything that folks named Estey may or may not have done. I removed the references to other companies. One section had even morphed over the years to being finally called "Estey-Welte, an unrelated competitor:" at which point one may ask why it was still included. Yet Estey-Welte et.al. was also listed as subsidiaries of Estey Organ Company in the info box. I removed that information, as it was also not cited. If anyone wants to do the research and find actual other companies that "The Estey Organ Company" owned, and can cite that information, please add it back into the article. • Bobsd • (talk) 07:18, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
Also removed the information about Fletcher Music and Marco Mendez, which were both old undisclosed CIO additions. • Bobsd • (talk) 07:51, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
Also removed info about Fletcher Music in the Social contributions by Estey family section. Obviously just a plug since this section is about the Estey Family. • Bobsd • (talk) 20:24, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
