This article is exceptional. Most GAN's have a laundry list of things to correct, but the effort and meticulousness that has gone into this article is evident. These are my suggestions for improvement:
- This reference: " "Ese Hombre: La India Digital Sheet Music" (Chordify). Choridfy.com. RMM. 1994. Retrieved 21 September 2014. |first1= missing |last1= in Authors list (help)" needs fixing
- Are there no pictures at all? I understand it was a B-side, but do we have any pictures from commons that might be appropriate for this article?
- "The song was written by Manuel Alejandro and Ana Magdalena[4] for Spanish singer Rocío Jurado.[5]" -- This sentence should be the first sentence of that paragraph.
- "meres" -- I have never heard that word used that way, and a quick dictionary search did reveal a relevant definition. I would select something clearer, like "assumes."
- The sentence that begins " According to the lyrics, the protagonist..." is wrong for a couple reasons. First, Wikipedia doesn't allow for original research. No matter how obvious the theme of the lyrics are, any interpretation of their meaning has to be expressly attributed to a reputable source. So, it can't start of "according to the lyrics," because that implies a Wikipedia editor read the lyrics and came to that conclusion. Secondly, while there is a reference there, it doesn't say anything about what that sentence claims the song is about. That source just says the song is about a womanizer. So, the sentence should say, "As explained by David Cazares, the song is about..." Since this is a foreign-language song, this is even more important, since the average reader has to take our word for it.
- Also, that sentence should be in the first paragraph of that section, the paragraph on background.
- "RMM selected "Ese Hombre" among its top ten music videos for their compilation album RMM Best of Videos Vol. I (1997).[7]" -- This sentence should be in "Reception"
- Honestly, the "Background and release" section has absolutely nothing about the release. Which formats was it released in? Vinyl? Cassette? CD? When did it debut? When was the first live performance? Was there any promotion? If so, what?
- The first sentence of the "Reception" section should summarize critical response. Like, "Critical reception to the article was mixed."
- A reception section should generally be composed of three types of reception: critical reception (which is there), commercial reception (chart performance, sales, etc...), and recognition and awards (if it won or was nominated for any, or if it was on any "end of year" type lists). This section should probably be expanded if at all possible.
- Chart history looks excellent.
- Credits and personnel looks fantastic
- The reference formatting looks great.
- There should be a Music Video section that discusses who the director was, the concept, brief (attributed) summary of the contents, its release dates, any awards it received, and how well it was received critically.
Great job so far, and I wish you the best! I'm placing the article on hold until these items are addressed.--Esprit15d • talk • contribs 20:25, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
