This genus must be properly delimited to Cheiranthus, or the latter synonymized here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dysmorodrepanis (talk • contribs) 15:37, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
"Malpighiacious": Please define
[edit]"Wallflowers have malpighiacious trichomes." -- The term "malpighiacious" is apparently not defined anywhere on Wikipedia. Furthermore, Google hits for this term all appear to be clones of this Wikipedia article. -- Writtenonsand (talk) 01:12, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
-- See discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Plants#.22Malpighiacious.22:_Please_define -- Writtenonsand (talk) 11:44, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- We can,t do anything about clones.In the meantime, the term has been replaced in the article, o the point is rather moot. Circeus (talk) 20:24, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
It's not just "malpighiacious trichomes," the entire article is studded with scientific terms that the average gardener is not going to understand and most of those don't link. I wish someone would translate this article into plain English. As it is now it reads like it's a college or grad school textbook.Risssa (talk) 04:06, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Algunos tienen el término "alhelí" como nombre común, pincha en los que tienen página propia. --90125 (discusión) 19:02 1 dic 2009 (UTC)
Cardiac glycosides
[edit]are mentioned in the chapter "Defensive compounds", but there is no warning in the chapter "Ethnobotanical uses of Erysimum" – I'd imagine them (these glycosides) being preeeetttyy dangerous, or am I wrong? Some lines about toxicity level and, if appropriate, a warning would be a good addition, I think — maybe someone out there has the knowledge ready? :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3032:203:C899:C1D0:F5AC:6564:58C9 (talk) 18:34, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
