[edit]If Adam and Eve (i.e. the first two people on earth) gave birth to Cain and Abel, who exactly did Cain have a child with to give birth to Enoch? ~ UBeR (talk) 20:02, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Old question, with several proposed answers: for instance, maybe Adam and Eve had many children after Cain and Abel, and so Cain married one of his sisters. Or maybe it was a myth that we're not supposed to take literally. Or maybe you shouldn't ask inconvenient questions, heretic! DS (talk) 19:04, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Tradition tells us that Cain indeed married his siter, more specifically his twin sister. Look up "Balbira & Kalmana" on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MagicatthemovieS (talk • contribs) 17:38, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
There were three Enoch's. Enoch who was the son of Cainan who was the son of Enos who was the son of Seth. The other Enoch was the son of Cain who killed Abel. The name of this artical should not be Enoch (son of Cain) it should be Enoch (son of Jared)[And Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begat Enoch… And Jared taught Enoch in all the ways of God. (The Book of Moses 6:21).]
As to who did cain the son of Adam marry: And Cain took Awan his sister to be his wife and she bare him Enoch at the close of the fourth jubilee. [190-196 A.M.] And in the first year of the first week of the fifth jubilee, [197 A.M.] houses were built on the earth, and Cain built a city, and called its name after the name of 10, 11 his son Enoch. (Book of Jubilees 4:7-8) And he also begat many sons and daughters. (The Book of Moses 5:41.) (JST Genesis 5:26.)
