Energy Australia was not founded it was an amalgation of various County Councils
[edit]Brisbane Waters, Newcastle, The shire, Sydney CBD were separate entitities providing employment and power to local residents. NSW state government decided that the various county Councils need to amalgamate and formed "Energy Australia" which provided face to face service. Then the NSW Liberal Government "Michael Baird" kept the mandate to privatise the retail arm to make electricity prices cheaper in 2011.
Then the NSW government leased the poles and wires for 99years with a 51% stake to still get the NSW governments revenue.
So Energy Australia was not founded by the current owners "China Light and Power (CLP)" 121.218.20.4 (talk) 09:59, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
