Security Risk Template added
[edit]This template is added because the addition of a photograph may cause a potential security risk to this embassy. The mapping mechanism has been added to provide a method to track and trace those users who wish to find out more information about this embassy. PeterZed 19:20, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- User:SimonP is part of a project using and that has used logo of the incorporated City of Ottawa as an identifying mark for this entry. Said user is involved in a Wikiproject that is posting addresses of diplomatic embassies without providing mechanism to trace users requesting such information. Said user is vandalizing this page. Template has been added to alert Wikipedia Administrators of users actions. Said user has posted information that may be a security risk.PeterZed 19:38, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Your continued posting of address information is a security risk. Please cease and desist. This page was free from address information. The mapping mechanism provides a way to trace those users who seek that information. PeterZed 20:27, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- This is idiotic. The address is public information that is easily accessible by a Google search. android79 21:08, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- The address is public information that the Embassy itself puts at the top of their own homepage, so "idiotic" is insufficient. --Calton | Talk 03:46, 29 December 2005 (UTC)
- The address as security risk? That's a little goofy, I'm sure there are other types of information that could pose security risks, but surely not a published address of an Embassy. Rx StrangeLove 07:28, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Link to GeoHack not working
[edit]There is something wrong with the GeoHack page for the Embassy of the UK. The correct degree-minute-second coordinates are passed (38°55'11.0"N 77°03'40.0"W) but the page itself points to decimal coordinates (38.919722, -77.061111) which is in front of the Embassy of South Africa. The correct value, based on searching for the embassy in Google Maps, is (38.9202743,-77.0651352).
