[edit]This article really needs some work. It's a notable topic, but the way it's written and organized, it doesn't make much sense. I'm on the fence about whether the example e-mail in the article is useful or not. I did remove some POV and unencyclopedic annotations from it. If it does stay, it needs some formatting work so it stands out from the text of the rest of the article. Weathermandan 22:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

- @Dc4825: Welcome to Wikipedia. With regret, I had to revert your edit because (a) see WP:LEAD (the lead summarises the key points of the body, it is not the place for material such as your contribution that belongs in the body); (b) Phishing already has a section in the body: your addition (if valid) should gave been added to that section; (c) the body text certainly needed a citation [I have just now added one] but your citation appears to be about Voice phishing: telephone fraud. [I could be wrong about that, I haven't read the paper but the title Phoneypot: Data-driven Understanding of Telephony Threats seems rather unambiguous].
- In the criteria set for your assignment, I suspect that your submission fails. But in terms of contribution to Wikipedia, I hope that it has been more successful as a learning opportunity. Best wishes. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 09:35, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
