Interior pictures wanted
[edit]If anyone has access to interior photographs of the palace, specifically the entrance hall, I'd love to use them on Swedish Wikipedia. (Pls contact me on my talk page, as I don't always keep track of the watchlist here.) Thanks a lot in advance! /Urbourbo (talk) 10:10, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Feel free to use any of these:
If you want more, browse this gallery and drop me a note and I'll release them under a suitable license on here.

- Thanks, the first pic in your gallery seems to picture the entrance hall roof. Would be great if you'd upload it to Commons! All the best, /Urbourbo (talk) 11:32, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
Escape Tunnels?
[edit]The whole bit about “reputed escape tunnels” needs something to back it up. The brick structure behind Holy Trinity church is called the Conduit Head, and is more prosaically described in the history that I have read as part of a system to supply water to Eltham Palace, not to effect egress from it. The article says the “escape tunnels” are a little known fact - perhaps it’s because they don’t exist, or are something else? Jock123 (talk) 10:41, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Hi - just came across this on the English Heritage web site: "There is an intricate network of underground tunnels at Eltham. What were they for? It was rumoured they were secret passages for Henry VIII to leave the Palace incognito but are more likely to be part of a drainage system which conveyed liquid waste from the kitchens. Others were connected with the garderobes and regularly flushed with clean water. Pits collected the solid matter and were periodically shovelled out by the 'gongfermours'." [edit]The author's site has been moved. I made the change but a bot reverted it. I now revert the bot's edit. AlexisHuxley — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.228.62.23 (talk) 12:55, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
