GA Passed

[edit]

After some minor copyediting and flow repair, I'm going to pass the article to GA. It's coverage of the site is good, it's well-cited, and reasonably well written. --Meowist 17:56, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Post GA expansion

[edit]

I have undertaken a major post GA expansion. There is more to add. IvoShandor 10:11, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Further expansion

[edit]

Soon I will be getting this article ready for FA. I have removed the bit below from the lead, as it doesn't belong there. It may have a place as my work gets ready to continue.

Ellwood House was featured in Bob Vila's A&E Network production,[1] Guide to Historic Homes of America.

More to come.

New EL

[edit]

The external link recently included already appears in the references, I don't think we need to be redundant, especially with externals. Thoughts? IvoShandor 12:49, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably right. I only added it as I had removed its predecessor as linking to a 404 error. It does seem redudant, though the House's website does seem to be the sort of external link a reader would be expecting... WjBscribe 13:05, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not that I am that concerned about it, I just don't want to go too overboard, on any article, with ELs. We can leave it, I am not really opposed to it and it does make it easier for the reader to notice, since we aren't really editing for ourselves. ;)IvoShandor 13:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, thanks for all the minor cleanup on those many articles I started and worked on. IvoShandor 13:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No prob. Thanks for writing the articles- they're great! I started reading one and ended up working my way through the series. Fixing a few disambig links is the least I can do... WjBscribe 13:11, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps: Pass

[edit]

As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing Sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria. I went through the article and made various changes, please look them over. I believe the article currently meets the criteria and should remain listed as a Good Article. Altogether the article is well-written and is still in great shape after its passing in 2007. Continue to improve the article making sure all new information is properly sourced and neutral. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I have updated the article history to reflect this review. --Happy editing!
