Problems, problems . .
[edit]Can we put in the authors/composers of all the works cited? That will help us to identify them. Basically we need original language titles in order to do this. Thanks. --Kleinzach 10:06, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
I have read the book by Nordensvan cited. I can at least translate them:
- Siri Brahe och Johan Gyllenstierna = Siri Brahe and Johan Gyllenstierna, Swedish play.
- Minna von Barnhelm = Minna von Barnhelm, by the German von Koetzebue.
- Armide = French opera.
- Elektra = ?
- Soliman II eller de tre sultaninnorna = Soliman II or The three sultanesses. I think this was Italian or German/Austrian.
- Alcides inträde i världen = The birth of Alcides to the world.
- Renaud = French play.
I can also add, that she was both an actress in spoken drama, and also paricipated in opera. I hope this was of some help. --85.226.45.229 (talk) 23:19, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
- I blieve many of these productions were mady by Christoph Willibald Gluck, Philippe Quinault amd Nicolas Dalayrac.--85.226.41.66 (talk) 16:41, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- I can also confirm that she belonged to those who were both singers and actors: she was employed at the Royal Opera in 1783-1810, the Ristell theatre in 1787-88, the royal theatre in 1788-1810, and also made guest appearances at the Stenborg theatre. She is known in Sweden (as the article points out) as a member of the "pioneer generation" of actors at the national dramatic theatre. As the opera and the theatre were both under royal management, paralell employements were not uncommon, due to the reglement of 1788. There is a difficulty to get access to all the parts, however, as she was active before 1825, and the theatre archives burnt in 1825. --85.226.47.151 (talk) 15:52, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Parts she made
[edit]The parts are in danger of being deleted because the composer of the works is not written in the article. So I will place them here: She played Anna in Siri Brahe och Johan Gyllenstierna in 1788 and 1790 and Minna von Barnhelm in Minna von Barnhelm in 1793. Among her other parts were Sidonie in Armide the season 1786-1787, Ismene in Elektra in 1787-1788, Delia in Soliman II eller de tre sultaninnorna in 1789-1790, Weakness in Alcides inträde i världen in 1793-1794, Armide in Renaud in 1800-1801 and the marschioness in Griselda in 1809-1810.--85.226.47.151 (talk) 10:44, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Griselda by Friedrich Halms
[edit]I can only assume this is Griseldis a German blank-verse play by Friedrich Halm — by this was not written until 1833-34, so the dates are wrong. Any explanation? (There are also operas by Bononcini, Scarlatti, and Vivaldi). --Kleinzach 03:40, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- I see you are correct. I will check this again. --85.226.47.151 (talk) 15:44, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Minna von Barnhelm by Kotzebue
[edit]Wasn't this by Lessing? --Kleinzach 04:01, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- I will check this. --85.226.47.151 (talk) 21:30, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it was indeed Lessing. --85.226.47.151 (talk) 10:26, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- OK. When you make corrections can you make the links? In this case to Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. --Kleinzach 04:03, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, it was indeed Lessing. --85.226.47.151 (talk) 10:26, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
