Seeking clarification

[edit]

Before I came to this article, the lead sentence ran like this:

Elektronika was the brand name used for many different electronic products such as calculators, electronic watches, portable games and radios.

I changed it to say it was a "brand name" in the Soviet Union, which seemed cleared I guess from the context. But I wonder if fact in Elektronika wasn't a state company rather than just a brand name, but I don't know the facts here. I also don't know what happened to Elektronika after the end the Soviet Union; does it still exist in some form?--Pharos 08:26, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet names are a bit difficult since brand name and factory name can be different. For instance the Lada is made by VAZ. // Liftarn (talk)
"nowadays, in Russia." - I thought Electronika watches are now made in Belarus? 91.85.181.111 (talk) 20:16, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think there are too many images in the image gallery of handheld games. The basic appearance is representative of the entire line of games, the only differences being some graphics. A few images should suffice. Yngvarr (t) (c) 10:44, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is mostly Electronika (e.g. [1] [2]), but sometimes Electronica (e.g. [3]). I don't think I've ever seen anything marked Elektronika by the company, but if anyone has sources, then please show them. Rapido (talk) 09:07, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted the spelling to Elektronika, as I think is the case with all the product articles. – Fayenatic London 23:44, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
