What will happen if one of these devices is used by a person whose voicebox is fine? 24.250.1.196 20:43, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- Probably nothing RocketMaster 15:10, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- it'll work as intended but the user's real voice will be louder and easier to understand —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.105.104.153 (talk) 21:44, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- Of course someone with a functional voicebox can use an electrolarynx in the same way that those who don't have one do, and simply not vibrate their vocal cords (just mouth / articulate the words). No different from how musicians (with vocal cords) use a talk box without simultaneously actually speaking / singing. --Dan Harkless (talk) 05:08, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Elctrolarynx.jpg
[edit]Image:Elctrolarynx.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This SERIOUSLY needs to be expanded
[edit]What does it do, spectrum-wise. What is the typical spectrogram of speech of someone who needs it, and what does the device to to make the speech clearer? Is it a flanger, phasor, compressor, short-time fast fourier transform type thing? How does it work? What is the schematic of the circuitry? What is the block diagram representation of its operation? 2600:1700:4CA1:3C80:E51B:1398:522A:1A5 (talk) 05:48, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
