Importance, New sections for Article

[edit]

As a specialized-category valley, being endorheic and adjacent to the Colorado River by way of the Eldorado Mountains on its east,-(and a Great Basin watershed), as well as Lake Mead, adjacent, and northeast, the importance is probably something other than "Low"... I'm going to change it to "MID" importance. I believe it is also, a small recreation area... And they are considering the Solar Development, ... and if one has driven the route, then it is obvious that in the Northwest, a truck route is harvesting "construction gravel", or whatever from the areas in the northwest-(and I mean as in "TRAIN-loads"....it may have ceased by now, only as HISTORY). In other words, there are things happening over there. ((P.S. I had to add the valley to the ....List of Great Basin watersheds, a minor watershed, endorheic though it is. If you read the Piute Wash..Piute Valley, there is the 4-valley, 4-mountain range water divide point in the southwest corner, at the south of the McCullough Range; that alone takes it to a MID-level ranking.))...(the Article is barely beyond a STUB level with things to be discussed in the article) (from the HOTdesertSonoran, ArizonaUSA)... ..Mmcannis (talk) 12:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photos

[edit]

I added an upland photo (taken towards southwest of range (?). A Gallery would show the McCullough range (shown), the Eldorado Mountains on east, and Searchlight, over the crest, at beginning south of Piute Valley to the south. The water divide in the southwest corner has the north of the Piute Range and the northeast of the New York Mountains (with the series of peaks called Castle Peaks (shown in photo at Piute Valley)...
I also added a shell of WikiProjects... Mmcannis (talk) 11:55, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
