Will come back to this one

[edit]
Too much going on. I'll try to improve this article if I can. Not now though. I'm very busy.

  • The pre-table of contents intro reads more like a stream of consciousness essay, and 98% of it has nothing to do with the traditional palace organization. I think that removing that would be the best first step towards improving the article. Rjhatl (talk) 03:16, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I disagree (except maybe the "conclusion" which isn't really a conclusion, just the modern state of the palace). A lot of the history from this time was told by word of mouth. If you try to change it to a factual, linear model it isn't really faithful to the original history. For the same reason I don't think the article is written like a personal reflection or essay, it is just retelling what is known about the history of the place. To make it more like an encyclopedia article, however, one should make it more obvious that this is what people "say" about the palace organization instead of that this is what "is."Editfromwithout (talk) 18:03, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rename article as "Ejigbo Palace"?

[edit]

There isn't an article about Ejigbo palace. "Ejigbo Palace Organization" is a little specific for what is written, don't you think? There's not much about what the palace actually looks like.Editfromwithout (talk) 18:10, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

copyedit problem

[edit]
  • I *think* this is talking about somewhere in Nigeria, although it's not mentioned in the article.
  • After reading the article (despite its title), I was confused about whether this was about a governing structure, or a place, or a city. What is the subject here?
  • Why is there a "Conclusion" section about a person?
  • an infobox would go a long way for this article

I think this article needs a basic re-write before a copyedit can be attempted. When that has been done, please re-add the copyedit tag to the article, or leave a msg on my talk page and I will try again. -- Despayre  tête-à-tête 22:40, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
