I believe page meets the general notability guideline but I might be biased because I am the one who created the page. Hence, a consensus must be reached.
User:Alvaldi, you declined User:onel5969 proposition to delete the page. Do you believe this page is notable or not?
Because if not then this page must be deleted. What's the point of it being in Wikipedia anyway. Heyaisa (talk) 02:51, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I was not entirely sure that the subject had the significant coverage to meet the general notability guideline, I just disagreed with that it should be deleted for failing WP:COLLATH or WP:NBASKET as failing those is not grounds for deletion. Regarding the sources, they are not all routine. There are already two sources that go into the subject in depth, [1][2]. The subject is also from a non-english speaking country which does not use the latin alphabet so a proper search in the Japanese media should be conducted to prevent bias. The basketball-zine.com reference (in Japanese), the Savanah Morning News story by Baxter McClain and the lakenormanpublications.com story by Dough Coats all seem to be stories specifically about Eito Yuminami. That would seem to meet the minimum bar for GNG. And I don't think it is that common for Japanese natives to play in NCAA Division I and then go home to play or coach in Japan, so I suspect there is more out there at least in Japanese, even though I think he has barely enough already. So I think he meets notability. Rlendog (talk) 17:40, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
