GA Review process
[edit]Although this song is quite notable, there are few readily available sources for the song on the internet. I would like the reviewer to consider this while reviewing the article; thank you! Carbrera (talk) 00:52, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Hello, I'm User:MarioSoulTruthFan and I'll be reviewing this article in a short time.
Lead
[edit]- Link → music critics
Done
- The single was subsequently considered Ivy's signature song, due to heavy promotion → this is not said in the article, add it and source.
Done
Background
[edit]- later interview → When?
Done fixed per date of interview; good catch!
- ...the idea of incorporating new genres into their music; → full stop after music, then capital letter.
Done
- stated that → doesn't need "that".
Done
- "the first songs [we] recorded were jangly and simple and straight-ahead. We started gravitating toward the groovier, slightly more melancholy stuff. It works well with Dominique's voice" → use your own words in some of this quote.
Done re-worded
- "Along with the exploration came "stronger" songs" → sounds terrible.
Done re-worded
Composition and release
[edit]- Musically, "Edge of the Ocean" is an indie pop and trip hop song; → full stop and sources.
Done
- "The single was not released elsewhere until May 27, 2002, when it was released as a CD single in the United Kingdom" → in spite of being a unreliable source, the date only has 2001.
Not done. The source is now reliable but there is no, month or day of the release. Still only year.
Critical reception
[edit]- Flawless.
Done Hey thanks!
Music video and promotion
[edit]- The video begins with Durand casually walking around in California near the ocean; several shots of nearby boats, cliffs and landscape are interwoven as Durand mouths the song's lyrics. Chase and Schlesinger also appear in the video. → source.
Done YT video is the only source regarding the video out there (that I can find, and trust me, I've looked)
- The track was later joked about, with a reviewer noting that "chances are you've heard it and didn't even know it". → not sure if this is the best section for this piece of information.
Done moved
Track listings and formats
[edit]- See on References section, below.
Done
Credits and personnel
[edit]- Link mixing, mastering and such only once in this section, in other words, most of them are not linked and need to be once.
Done
Charts
[edit]- Use → Template:Single chart
Done
Release history
[edit]- See below
Done
References
[edit]- Lot's to do here:
- andychase.com → Andy Chase
Done
- Discogs is not reliable → replace it.
Done I have added additional reliable sources (Amazon) for verification
- Since the the information is the same in both sources, you can remove the Discogs websites. Otherwise, Ovelinking. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 11:55, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- 15 → Despite being the official video, it's not official source (Ivy's channel), use MTV or other.
- I'm not sure what you want me to change regarding this
- I was saying to find a reliable source for the video, but since you can't find it with your research and I couldn't as well. Let's leave it at that.
- IMDb → unreliable source, replace it.
Done replaced
