[edit]There's something of an interesting story behind how this shopping center became Asian dominated. If I knew all the details, I'd write them in, but it's something like this: another commercial area on Wilson Blvd. closer to Ballston was being redeveloped, and a group of Asian-American businesses decided to move out and find a place they could stay for long term. At that time, the Plaza Seven Shopping Center had some vacancies due to Grand Union Supermarket pulling out of the region. So that is where these businesses settled.
Another interesting aspect of the Eden Center worth mentioning is that they do stage various festivities there, e.g. on various Vietnamese and Chinese holidays. In the mid 1990's there were several politically motivated incidents echoing of the partisan politics that divided Vietnam during the civil war of the '60s and '70s. In recent years the festivities have been very well attended and peaceful.

[edit]Eden Center is in the local paper weekly for assaults, thefts, and vandalism. A section needs to be added on this. Hendaj (talk) 00:43, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
