I'm not sure why it would be necessary to slim down Rose's credits to the more "notable" releases; the selection process sounds a little OR-ey to me. A comprehensive list, as long as it's kept in some sort of order (alphabetical, chronological?) would be most helpful to the reader. Chubbles (talk) 20:33, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's fine, but it would be far too long and messy to list all of his credits. I think it should be enough to list only the noteworthy groups and ONE album they recorded with him, rather than everyithing they've recorded with him.
How's this for a comprimise: we could only have the noteworthy bands, but then link off to his website, where he has EVERYTHING listed. That way, people reading the article can get an idea of the kind of bands he's worked with, and if they're interested, go to his website to see more. Would that work?
I just don't think they should have to wade through a bunch of less-noteable bands. I see what you're saying, but I just don't think this is a place to dump a bunch of facts. Rwiggum (talk) 20:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What constitutes a noteworthy band? Even the redlinks on this page - say, Anadivine - are probably worth mention; Anadivine's release was on The Militia Group and they're on the requests page, and probably could have an article if anyone put the effort into it. Aside from the Allmusic credits page (which is in chunks of fifty, ordered by date, and potentially missing things) - is there another comprehensive Rose discography page out there? Chubbles (talk) 20:39, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, Anadivine was my fault. I took it off mainly because it didn't have it's own page. But like I said, his website at www.edrose.com has his ENTIRE discography, listing every album he's ever worked on, including what he did, be it produce or just engineer. I think that we could cut it down and then link off to that and it would be sufficient. Rwiggum (talk) 21:40, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If it floats your boat, go ahead. I disagree with naming the section "notable credits"; maybe "selection", or "partial", or "incomplete". Ideally, I'd like to see the full list transferred here, but I can understand if you're not up to the task (I'm not really, either). Chubbles (talk) 21:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll see what I can do. I'll go ahead and try to put together a full discography, but if it doesn't work out, I'll make it more notable artists.Rwiggum (talk) 21:46, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
