Minor League Contract Purchased at Age 10?

According to the cited newspaper article, Delahanty's minor league contract was purchased for $1,900 in 1877. According to this article, he was born in 1867, meaning he was 10 years old at the time. Can anyone make sense of this? 70.174.128.14 (talk) 13:49, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nah it was a typo his contract was purchased by philly in 1887 so he was 20 not 1 Cyanxbl (talk) 00:26, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
