[edit]Where are Eco-towns? What are they anyway? Waht makes an Eco-town?
Eco-towns are stand-alone settlements, specific to the United Kingdom. They are guided by the Planning Policy Statement: Eco-towns - A supplement to Planning Policy Statement One. This document defines clearly what makes an eco-town and where they are. It is available from the Communities and Local Government website at:

Changes Feb 2010
[edit]Have made some edits to the first paragraph of the article to try and make it more neutral/factual. Also made some minor changes to rest of article eg. changed larger shortlist to past tense for updating. I know this is a controversial topic and hope this is acceptable to any other editors. Is anyone else watching/editing this page at the moment? I'd like to help work up this page to the point where we can remove the tags at the top. Cjs98 (talk) 03:45, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
