Merge
[edit]The contents of this article seem to overlap considerably with that of Sustainable city. The main difference I can see is that the other article uses a wider range of examples. As otherwise this is the more intelligible of the two article, pI suggest selected content from there be merged here. DGG ( talk ) 10:26, 16 February 2013 (UTC)

Don't merge
[edit]By definition, sustainability deals with environment, equity, and economics. Although much of that overlaps with an eco-city, eco-cities have environmental priorities and are a specific concept dealing with ideas such as greening, working within biophysical limits, localization of resources, and biodiversity. Sustainable cities is a general idea that includes eco cities and tons of other concepts for sustainable urban form. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1010:B048:6BDB:4D83:7771:392:F00A (talk) 22:38, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
Eco-cites should be merged as a subcategory within Sustainable cities because the overlap is greater than the exclusivity. Furthermore, the [Sustainable cities] has been much more robust and is closer to being GPA compliant TheKevlar (talk) 13:14, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
