Proposed merge of Professional wrestling championship with Early wrestling championships
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- To not merge on the grounds that the early championships warrant separate discussion. Klbrain (talk) 21:52, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
not long enough to be its own separate article All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 17:54, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
Comment: Neutral for now, this is not about just professional wrestling but wrestling in general dating back to the ancient Olympics. Also citations for championships that existed long before the internet do not work the same way as modern day championship's citations. But if you are talking about the professional wrestling championship article being merged to this as in the merged article will bear its name, then I may be all in for it, but make sure its not only professional wrestling that is covered but all types of wrestling, including Honorable Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln's championship, wins. - Keep and improve - This article needs a complete re-write, but it's not about professional wrestling. There is certainly scope for a "History of wrestling" article, or even an "origins" of wrestling, or a "Comparison of wrestling styles" article. If you were to merge, you'd be merging parts of this article into other articles. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 11:27, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Keep separate per Lee Vilenski's comment above. These are distinct concepts for the most part.LM2000 (talk) 11:21, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
- Keep separate Per above point, and also the formatting of this discussion by the original proposer is not up to the mark. Dilbaggg (talk) 10:18, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Keep separate per Dilbaggg. Hansen SebastianTalk 18:45, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
