A couple more from TWL: this one from Saturday Evening Post. 3/5/1949, Vol. 221 Issue 36, p17-17 and this one from Saturday Evening Post. 3/5/1949, Vol. 221 Issue 36, p148-148. Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:29, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Michael D. Turnbull Thanks! I don't usually (never?) look at ebsco. Apparently "login first, then use links" doesn't work here, but I found "Courage on canvas", brilliant! Also got a hint for [1]. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:22, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And if you feel like DYK-ing it, I have no objection. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:03, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Robert McClenon, I just noticed via everybodywiki that you deleted a version of this article (quite reasonably, too), in 2019. Take a peek at it now, if you like. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:15, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This [2] isn't something we'll use as a source, but it was nice to see. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:17, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Gråbergs Gråa Sång - I don't understand what you are saying that I did or that I deleted in 2019. If you want my comments, I would like to know what I am being asked to comment on. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:00, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Robert McClenon I'll try again: Per en.everybodywiki dot com /Edithistory:Earl_Bailly you DECLINED, sorry, not deleted, my error, a version of this article (quite reasonably, too), in 2019. Recently, I added the current version to mainspace. It's not important, but I thought you might be interested in seeing the new version. You might not be. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:15, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
User:Gråbergs Gråa Sång - Okay. This version does not have a common history with the version that I reviewed. The version that I reviewed was deleted as G13, an abandoned draft, in September 2019, so I evidently reviewed it in February 2019 or March 2019. I have reviewed thousands of drafts over years, and do not remember this draft, and am not interested in looking at a Wayback archive. I will probably take a look sometime, but I am inclined to assume that the current article was properly reviewed. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:39, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I am autopatrolled, but that's hopefully close enough. :P Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:44, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some disagreement in sources

[edit]

Some say Earl got polio when he was 2, some 3, I'm going with 3 for the moment. But there is another thing: This [3] says his father's name is John, this [4], page 61, says it was Harris. Both sources should reasonably know what they're talking about.

Any opinions? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:22, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
