So this increase in transfer speed over copper would be ideal for the Last mile transmission, whereas the main infrastructure could still be fiber optics.
References are all dead
[edit]The source information in this article is dead. All of it. We're going to need to find new source material to back up all of the claims in this article, or possibly find the same sources in updated URLs. I may do that soon.
