BDSM aspects?
[edit]Are there any BDSM aspects like in Samois? --Nemissimo (talk) 15:09, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely, DOB often share intertwined and cooperative relationships with leather and BDSM groups. There is cross-over in fashion, politics and sexuality areas at least. I've been focused on other articles but here is content I hope to introduce as soon as it's ready (some of it is but not all). Benjiboi 18:56, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Masculine
[edit]I was going to change the phrase "the Dykes on Bikes teach, by example, that women can be masculine" to "the Dykes on Bikes teach, by example, that women can have traits traditionally associated with masculinity", for a few reasons. Firstly I dont think its reasonably fair on lesbians, or men, to create an essential category of behavior "masculity" that "Rides motorbikes" as this simultaneously implies that men who dont share this trait are less masculine somehow, or that butch lesbians are somehow less women , which feels somewhat reductive and essentialist. However I realise these discussions can be somewhat loaded and as a non lesbian (and in fact a man) feel maybe if this is better something just pointed out and left to the women to decide if it makes sense what i'm suggesting here. I do realise the topic is complicated particularly around the discourses around Butch lesbianism so yeah. Throwing it out there, but not going to act myself.
