I did contact Dundurn Castle by email about the floor area, estate area and number of rooms and this is what they told me:
« Dundurn Castle is 14338 square feet, we have 40 rooms not 72. 72 rooms is a mistake that dates back to 1943 when it appeared in a book. The Castle is set in a ten acre park.
