[edit]If the Dukes ever have more peerage titles conferred upon them in regard to Gordon, will the Sovereign likely hark back to the extinct ones which already were connected to this title? Would the same go for succeeding to extinct family branches' titles, such as in Huntly and Aberdeen/Temair? IP Address 10:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Broadly yes, titles once conferred on families tend to be recreated for those families where possible.Alci12 17:13, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I have removed the table, which had made the article unnecessary long, which had added information belonging to the respective articles and which had removed the dukes' full names.

Number
[edit]"the Duke holds four dukedoms (including the French title Duke of Aubigny in the defunct Peerage of France)"
can this apply, if one of them isn't a dukedom - it is - as described - defunct?
