I was a bit diffident about including an article on what might seem to some to be a little known "garden railway" (being virtually forgotten in Duffield itself) but the speed with which people have added improvements seems to mean it was a worthwhile addition. If someone can tidy up my grammar and style, perhaps it could be a rather different "featured article". Chevin 09:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location of Duffield Bank House

[edit]

Duffield Bank House was /is on the eastern bank of the river on what was once called Save Penny Lane, tinted red in the attached map. Sir Arthur's home was high up the bank, the main house on the Duffield Bank estate tinted blue and the railway ran behind it with a branch down to the highway. The word "station" can be seen File:Location of Heywood Railway.jpg
