Page used to have a UK-tv-stub. The Australian reports that Dragons' Den "began in Japan, hence the Dragons' Den moniker, where it was a kitsch, overly dramatic show in which most people pitched different types of noodles." Hey everyone, I have done a bit of work on the Dragons' Den page to improve it abit before the merger (if it happens). I just updated the the format section, made the UK/Australia version sections uniform, got rid of the dead links and generally cleaned it up a bit. Hope you like! There will be a Finnish series in the autumn 2007, called "Leijonan kita", which literately translates to "Lions' jaws", but means the same thing in finnish. The Big Idea

The show was clearly "inspired" by Dragons' Den. There was an article for the show, but someone merged it into Ruth Badger's article (for no logical reason, a bit like merging The Apprentice UK into Alan Sugar's article). I was going to unmerge it and re-write it, but I only watched 5 minutes (it was bad). If anyone else wants to attempt it (did anyone even see it?) I only mention it here because I thought it would be useful to have a See also link to that show in this article. Saikokira 18:40, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Dragons' Den videos

It would be great if someone can post up links to any full-episode videos that people can watch. It is very frustrating that the BBC don't show missed episodes online anymore. Kit Temple 13:57, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps it wouldn't be great but certainly not illegal. Copyright is not enforced by the police for that reason. Richard Farleigh dropping

This paragraph is different to the information in Richard Farleigh's article. Dates of announcement are different, reasons appear to contradict each other. Perhaps it is a case that each of the articles currently only contains half the information? Halsteadk 21:29, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

UK controversy

Poland

There's a show called Kapitalny Pomysł (Great Idea) - don't know if it is linked to this or if it's a copy - but it looks incredibly similar (but only one contestant in the whole series gets money, not a few each episode). Malick78 (talk) 16:56, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

BBC America version

Anyone know if there is a difference between the BBC(UK) and the New BBC America versions? Are they in fact the same, or considered different? (diffrent crew cast etc). Split/don't split

I agree a separate article about each season would be a better place to house this game-by-game information. However, I personally do not have the time in the near future to research each season adequately to add additional information beyond the game results. I'll help spiting the Canadian one. Cause personality I think I know a lot of information on Dragon Den on CBC so I would willingly help to get us started by just making a box Season 1 ,2, 3 ect Episodes, Then we could write another page on and about each episode for like season 1 , 2 ,3 ect. Dragons Den Romania - Arena Leilor

There is a romanian version of the show called The Lions Arena. The 7th season will air in the spring of 2011. This version is somewhat more educational as the Lions often tend to give free advice and council to the entrepreneurs.
