GA review

[edit]

starting the review. It may take me some time to finish the review.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 21:09, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Blue Pumpkin Pie: Hi, just wondering how things are going. --ProtoDrake (talk) 18:15, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ProtoDrake: I'm deeply sorry for the long wait. I had really wanted to review this, but I wasn't able to because I got severely sick. I was only able to look at a few things here and there until I got back on my feet. I'm starting the review now.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 03:50, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    B. All in-line citations are from reliable sources, including those for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons—science-based articles should follow the scientific citation guidelines:
One of the things I see in the Music section is the "audio" mentions that the soundtrack that the first disc is the original and the second disc has the MIDI versions. The source (from what I can see) doesn't specify. Is there a better source that clarifies this information? Due to WP:RSP, Guinness World Records are questioned past 2008. So I would advise removing it.
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

It's almost there, I'm still reviewing it extensively. I made some changes to the Premise in an attempt to make it easier to understand. I never played Dragon Quest IX, so if there are mistakes in the premise, I'm not against more revisions.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 23:40, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Blue Pumpkin Pie: Nothing wrong with your edits bare a contraction outside a quote which I've fixed. I removed the soundtrack disc specifications bit, it's not essential. For Guinness WR, I changed to an acceptable third-party source, unless you want that aspect cut from the article entirely. I also made some further edits to the synopsis (side note, writing that plot was painful due to how rediculously long and convoluted the story is). --ProtoDrake (talk) 08:15, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the Guinness World Record, it's been debated, but I haven't seen further restrictions. if another source is making note of it, then that's fine. The gameplay can be simplified further. When I read it, it can sound a bit wordy, but overall, I don't see anything that makes it fail GA. Pass.Blue Pumpkin Pie (talk) 23:43, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
