This page allows discussion on each individual section, thus saving the comments getting lost during active collaboration.

Discuss here how each section can be improved. What information is missing? Is is grammatically correct. Does it read as a coherent paragraph or as a disjointed set of sentences? Can it be broken into subsections. Are there other articles that expand on the subject. Where are the sources of the information. Does the information relate to the subject? Do we need additional pictures? etc. etc.

Everyone reading this has a part to play, we need a consensus of opinions. Even if you do not want to edit the main article, please tell us what can be done to improve it. Feel free to edit the main article too, as Wikipedia says "Be bold". Hopefully this talk section will fill with comments and become a todo list.

Obsolete comments can be struck out using <s>...</s>

General Comments

There are a few wikilinks that point nowhere. I suggest we either create a stub or delink them. MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

History:Anglo-Saxon and Norman, to 1200

The William the Conqueror story needs tidying up. There are some inline quotes, but I had difficulty working out where they started and ended. (There are some quote templates that put nice quotations marks around that sort of thing). Who is Karl Wittwer, 24 July 2004 ? Is that supposed to be there? MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Education

This is just a list, which is frowned upon. I suggest removing all of these. Replace with a paragraph that just states how many of each school there are. Then mentioning the more notable ones, the ones that have their own article. MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Sport

I suggest remove the list and replace with a paragraph describing the various sports facilities. Naming teams where notable, only those which complete at least on a county scale. MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Places of interest

I suggest we should aim to remove this section, incorporating them into relevant sections. For example mentioning the Saxon Shore way in the Roman section. MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Famous Residents

I personally would like to see this removed! and just mention Category:People from Dover in the see also section. Failing that, we need some form of criteria to prevent overuse. MortimerCat 15:46, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Local Media:Introduction
