John Bradley, hi to you!
Your contact prompted me to look at the Wikipedia page on the charter. Kudos to whoever is responsible.
I understand your puzzlement. Most of us American historians use the terms WH and Americas interchangeably. The purpose of my so-called book on the charter was to popularize the event and document for its 300th anniversary in 1986. It is not a scholarly analysis of the document/event/significance but rather my attempt to encourage citizens to understand the charter in its social history terms.
So, I am guilty of using WH when I meant Americas. Thanks for pointing that out and I will be more precise in the future.
I would add this link to our web piece on the charter to the wiki offering: http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/albany/charter.html
That all seems like so long ago!
Very best, Stefan Bielinski Community Historian & Senior Historian Emeritus http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/albany/

- You are aware that the link is already used as a reference in the article (I created, and then wrote, 90% of the article), and our SOP is not to put as "other sources" links that are already used as references, as they will already show up in the references section.Camelbinky (talk) 16:25, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
