I replaced the redirect with a full article on DMC. I think the subject is sufficiently legally interesting to warrant its own article, as it raises separate and distinct issues from inter vivos gifts. Legis 11:02, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio?

[edit]

I noticed that the article is an almost word-for-word copy of parts of "Modern Equity" by Jill E. Martin, 17th Edition (2005). Even the footnotes are, from the ones I checked, identical to the footnotes in Ms. Martin's book. I believe her work needs to be properly cited, regardless of the footnotes citing specific cases. As it currently exists, the page creates the false impression that the Wikipedia author has written the page and researched the citations noted in the footnotes. Please provide appropriate citations. I left a note for the editor who contributed this text, but there was no response. I've now flagged it as a copyvio for admin attention. Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of the text in question to confirm the copyvio, but am relying on the information from 2bad2, above. TJRC (talk) 20:59, 28 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Although it is only in snippet view, I can see some of the text duplicated precisely at this 1985 book by Martin and others. This seems plausible, and there's been nothing to defend against it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:32, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
