I am very new to creating articles but believed that this figure needed an article on English Wikipedia asap . This is because he has seemingly faded from English speakers knowledge but stayed relatively relevant within anarchist circles in Russian speaking places .
This means that this article likely has many mistakes so any help is greatly appreciated
@Speedymagoo: Hi there. Unfortunately you're going to struggle to get this published if you continue submitting it for AfC without addressing any of the problems previously raised with the draft. Just as an example, this article was clearly written using a machine translation and without any copy-editing, so much of its content just flat out doesn't make sense in English. Long run-on sentences like "Donat Cherepanov is the son of an unsuccessful Moscow entrepreneur the anarchist Cherepanov, Donat Andreevich studied at the 3rd Moscow Gymnasium in the same class as V.F. Khodasevich , and, according to the latter’s recollections, he did not shine with success." and short contextless sentences like ""Member of the Central Committee of the PLSR ." and "The underground nickname is “Shard”." are basically unreadable. There's also still some information that hasn't got a cited source, particularly the first paragraph and the block quote from Khodasevich.
I understand that you think this figure is important and should have an article on the English Wikipedia. If you think it is important enough for publication, then it is important enough that the article should be well-written and understandable. Please take the time to go over this article and get it into a state that's worthy of the subject being written about, otherwise it's just going to continue getting blocked from publication. --Grnrchst (talk) 11:04, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Speedymagoo and Grnrchst. I did some copyediting for language and flow. My main issues are the following - are the sources WP:RS and what was actually Cherepanov's position, the refs I saw on 1918 congress indicated that he would have been in the pro-legalization wing of the party? Maybe my reading is wrong but it would be good to double-check. --Soman (talk) 12:53, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Soman: You wouldn't know it from how badly formatted the citations were and from how dodgy some of the hosting websites look, but yes, I think these most of these sources can be considered reliable. (although the one from Khodasevich should be checked against WP:PRIMARY) --Grnrchst (talk) 13:30, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
